Questions, answered
Does my data really stay in my browser?
Yes. Files are parsed and cleaned locally using Web Workers — they are never uploaded to our servers. Only anonymous column statistics (never raw rows) are sent to power AI recommendations, and only if you use them.
What file types are supported?
CSV and Excel (.xlsx). Excel support loads on demand, so it never slows down the app for CSV users.
Will CleanIQ change my data without asking?
Never. Every fix shows a before/after preview and requires your confirmation. Everything is undoable, and Quick Clean only applies high-confidence fixes — which you can also preview and revert.
What are Cleaning Templates?
A saved, reusable cleaning workflow. Clean this month’s export once, save the steps as “Monthly Sales Cleanup”, and apply the exact same pipeline to next month’s file in one click.
How big can my files be?
The browser engine comfortably handles files up to ~50 MB / 500k rows. Server-assisted processing for larger files is planned for the Business plan.
